About This Tool
This application helps you quickly rename large batches of audio files, especially those used in music production, sound design, and sampling.
Key Features:
Batch Processing: Load multiple audio files (WAV, AIFF, MP3) at once.
Smart Naming Patterns: Automatically generate structured filenames based on musical note information often embedded in file names (e.g., converting `C3-V1.wav` or `MIDI60_file.wav`).
Flexible Generation:
Create sequential filenames across a specified musical note range (e.g., `36_C3_MyBass_01.wav`, `37_C#3_MyBass_01.wav`).
Generate simple numbered sequences for single notes.
Easily add Round Robin suffixes (`_RR1`, `_RR2`, etc.) for multi-sampled instruments.
Musical Tools:
Transpose generated note numbers up or down by semitones or full octaves.
Switch between Sharps and Flats (Enharmonic shift) in note names.
Preview & Export:
See all proposed filenames in a clear preview list.
Copy the list of new names to your clipboard.
Export the list as a `.txt` file for reference.
File Renaming: Download your original audio files with the newly generated names applied (note: this creates renamed copies in your browser's downloads folder).
Ideal for organizing samples, creating standardized naming conventions for samplers, or preparing files for music libraries.
